My husband got my a mother child pedent, and a ring with my daughters birth stone in it. He didn't have to, I never said anything to him. He really just wanted to tell me he loved me, and thank you. When my son was born he got me a ring with his birthstone. I have no problem with him doing that. I thought it was very sweet. Though if he did not do that I would have never thought anything of it.
I think its wrong to expect a gift, but I think it is VERY sweet for a husband to get you something. |
That's fine and wouldn't be considered a "push present"... They are talking about items that cost hundreds if not thousands of dollars being expected as payment for pumping out a kid....when women turn around and start basically demanding things like this it is selfish... "Honey I just dumped out your 9lb. Kid, where in the hell is my $2000 diamond tennis bracelet you owe me?"...Big difference from an actual "lover's gift". He got that because he appreciates you not because you "asked for payment".
