From the thread '8 year old boy kills father and father's friend'. On one hand, yes; people should be able to defend their homes and their families, or go hunting, or do whatever they please. On the other hand, things like this happen. Kids find their parents' guns and either kill themselves, or kill other people. What kind of example does it teach your children when you keep guns laying around? Basically, that guns are okay. I think parents need to use that selectively, teach them to not use violence as a first option, etc. Opinions? |
It's a sticky situation.
Because for me I would say it's a right to own a gun.
BUT AT THE SAME...you have childeren who don't know or don't understand the danger of playing with real guns. I think if parents want to keep a gun in the house you should educate the child on how the gun works and the consequenses of using it a unlawful matter. And what happens if there is an accident.
But in all honesty **** happens to even the most educated.
So it's really a sticky situtaion...
