it's because it is not supposed to "open anything" the print screen is like a camera's shooter button. You are able to see the shot only if you click paste under an editing program such as Ms paint, or gimp.
so what you have to do is: press the print screen button, then OPEN a PROGRAM such as paint, gimp photoshop or whatever editing program you have on your comp, then press ctrl+V simultaneously or right click and select "paste" and the screenshot you took when you pressed the "print screen" button should be appearing, once the picture is pasted, all you have to do is crop it the way you want and save it in your comp, then post it on a picture hosting website and voilà
ok in case it's still blurry, here some picture tutorial for you:

right click on the page or press ctrl+v

crop it the way you want:



and post it on the internet (on photobucket, tinypic or whatever...), use the bbcode (meaning the code starting: [ img ] http://.... [ / img ] )
OR click that icon under a meez post, paste the url/image's web adress (called direct link in photobucket) in the box that has opened.
