It depends of what you mean by fashion.
Well, fashion is quite annoying, what if some parts of the actual "hit" thing is repulsive to you? Also, clothing can be non-fashionable, since many people don't care about fashion. Personally, I prefer well cut and classic look clothing over what can be considered fashion at certain points of life.
Good clothes > fashion.
