is because they're 'mainstream'.
All these teenagers trying to be 'alternative' or whatever have to hate
whatever's popular or mainstream. It's not cool to like what everyone else likes.
There's a reason those books got so popular.
Don't hate just because they're getting credit.

A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius is very cleverly written, how on earth could it be put in such a list?! This list is completely based on opinion.

Anne Frank? I can see some peoples' points. She was a tad whiney, but hey, I would be too if I was forced into hiding.

The Giving Tree...how COULD they?

Twilight? Understandable. The plot wasn't bad, the characters were annoying though. Stephenie Meyers can write though. I just wish she would make her characters not so predictable and intolerable.

And there are so many other classics that I am just shocked to see on there....

But, on the bright side, I found a list with the best historical fiction works, found some of the book descriptions interesting, and I now have over twenty books written on my list for the next trip to the library. For serious, I'm reading all of them.

Twilight Saga-understandable, because people hate it.
Eragon- Never read it, but it is about a DRAGON. Want to read about dragons? Pick up a Harry Potter.
Wuthering heights- in Twilight, never read it, since it in Twilight, that may be why...?
Giving Tree- WTF? I love that book!
Child called it- Kid did a book report on it, seemed good...then again i am not normal.
Who moved my cheese- a book about cheese or something else?
Harry Potter and the Sorcers Stone- NEVER! NUH-UH! Loved it! Why is it on there?
Anne Frank- saw the movie,read about ten pages of the book. It is history,but...
Secret Life of Bees- Loved that book. Why on the list? (from page two)
Deathly Hallows- Peole got mad over this one, but they can only go seven years. Duh. It was going to end.
Series of unfortunate events 1- liked it,but it seemed to revolve over the fact that their parents died. We get it.
chamber of secrets- this is where i draw the line. Sure it went on and on on what happened in the last book,but come on! It is harry potter!

If Mein Kampf wasn't there then they could hardly call the worst booklist (however I doubt most people voted for it becuase it was badly written)
I can understand why some are on there Twilight/Breaking Dawn /New Moon/ Eclipse Poor Stephenie Meyers*tisk tisk* such wasted talent on such boring characters.
Most I've never read but some I can't understand why they're there The Giving Tree, His Dark Materials trilogy,( Books One and Two were AWESOME though book three was rather boring,) Harry Potter and Sorcerer's stone? I mean really that book was great, Moby Dick, a classic, Eargon pretty good

If so many people like so many of these books than you know the people voting against them are just not fans of the genre or authors or being like anyone else because some of those are GOOD books and if more people agree they're good then they're bad than...Isn't it obvious whether or not it's good or not?

Twilight deserves to be on there. The writing isn't bad, the characters and their interactions are.
