| The worst books of all time So while I was on the internet I found this little (as in large) list of books that people rated as "The Worst Books Ever." Now I was wondering how other people might feel about what is on the list, so if you have a moment look at maybe the first little bit and please comment thoughts. | |||||||

| This mostly looks like a list of books that close-minded teenagers don't want to bother enjoying, to me. :C I get that a lot of them are classics and people can't be expected to like them just because they're considered Great...but like everyone says, there is a reason they stick. I started writing a list of all the books on that list that I thought shouldn't be there, but I was going on and on so here's the quick snooty version. 8) (plus I'm still recovering from the personal injury of seeing some of those mentioned) Reading the comments on that page are interesting lol. thanks for posting this.

I think that if people looked at half those books as actual literature (as in fiction) then they might not be so high up the list. For instance, I can give you a million and one reasons why The Da Vinci Code is number one on that list. It has nothing to do with the fact that the writing was actually really good, and that Dan Brown got down to do his homework to write his fiction novel. (Chants: fiction, fiction, fiction!) I wish people wouldn't take it so seriously. I honestly thought it was a good read. However, some of the books on the list was understandable. Number two was the worst piece of literature I had ever picked up to read. Could hardly make myself finish it. I personally find it an insult to literature. (It was published?) And all that shameless advertising... (Chants: Garbage, garbage, garbage!) Oh well. Bite me. P.S. I gasped when I saw Pride and Prejudice and The Scarlet Letter on that list. Whaaattt? Those kids don't know classics. /smh (I agree with Rex ^)

| I saw The Giving Tree on that list. Call me names if you want but I have to admit that I really (and still do) care about that book a great deal. In my mind it was a book that had a beautiful message. The fact the The Da Vinci Code made the top of list is something I find interesting and when I was reading the reviews I couldn't help but laugh how some just posted "Worst Book Ever." For the record I have read far worse -cough-Twilight-cough. Twilight, New Moon (what would L. M. Montgomery think) and the rest of them are understandable, but I would have moved them all to the top four stops. Thank you C.J. For posting this my friend .

| I was going through that list and I agree with most. I was shocked when I saw Flowers In The Attic and The Five People You Meet In Heaven. Those books do not belong there, in my opinion.

Those boooks all look really good to me. I read the Lovely Bones, and it's on that list. The Lovely Bones was amazing... Same with Go Ask Alice. Ender's Game, too. It looks like they're all really good books that I would enjoy reading, it looks like they're all books that would be read in class and that's probably the main reason they're up there. (: | |||||||

The books on that list are some of the most loved and bought books I've ever known. How most of them ended up on that list, I have no idea.
