Plus, I also hear people say: "Oh man, that's so gay. Quit being a homo." When said in this context, it's rude to gay people and I hate it.

Well, people are making fun for a reason.... When somthing is wrong, its easy to pick on, and obviously somthing is worng.

Gay originally meant Happy. Then it was a slang term for homosexual. Eventually, it was so widely used to mean homosexual, that they added that to the definition. Now it's a slang term for stupid. In afew years, that'll be added to the definition too. Big deal, no one really cares, and no one's going to stop saying it because a minority does care.

I think she meant that usually the people who say things like "You're acting so gay," and mean homosexual, and usually the people who are homophobic and believe there's something wrong with homosexuals.
