If this were true, other animals would not engage in homosexual behavior and they do.

We all still have basic instincts just like every other animals. If it's a natural thing it has nothing to do with intelligence. And plenty of animals have IQs close to ours. Like dolphins

the majority of animals do it to sow dominance however, not because they want to mate with the other animal.
