Weight matters to me [not too much though], but I'm naturally stick thin, and short too.
I don't want to be with someone who would crush me if they fell on me.
Guys need to be somewhere under 150lbs and girls... I prefer thin girls, but a little extra weight doesn't bother me, just not too much.
I'm a healthy eater and I won't date people who eat like pigs or don't watch what they eat. It disgusts me.

Wait, what's sad about wanting a partner who is healthy?
It’s sad that people that are overweight don’t get acknowledged by most people because of how unhealthy people think they are. It's not sad wanting a partner who is healthy...

More cushy on the tushy is better than being a walking, talking skeleton with skin stretched over it's bones.

Yes, but that's why they're not getting acknowledged. It's called "overweight" for a reason...

Not all overweight people are unhealthy. Their hearts are fine, their muscles are fine, their cholesterol's fine. Obese is another story, but for a person that is simply overweight, health isn't always an issue.

What's healthy about weighing more than someone of your age/height/build should?

Or less?

Sometimes it's genetic; I'm healthier than my sister who is on her target weight, and I'm 70 lbs over my BMI. It also depends on how you handle yourself. Unlike her, I don't sit on my keister eating chips and chocolate and staring at the computer screen every and each time I have free time. I also eat vegetables and use a treadmill 30 minutes a day 3-4 days out of a week; she refuses to do any of that. I walk way faster and longer than she does, and it takes me longer to run out of breath. I also have normal blood pressure and cholesterol.

I will still date a person if she is overweight. But if she's really unhealthy (being extremely fat) I won't. Just because it will be harder to be around them. It leads to heart disease, and I don't want to deal with that.
But it never makes them any less desirable.

I'm not attracted to chubby/overweight people.
as much as i'd like to be nice and pretend that appearance doesn't matter
it does.
it's just a big part (maybe around half) of a relationship, whether people want to acknowledge it or not. if i don't like looking at you, we're not going to go very far even if you have a great personality or whatever.
