If the women has to have it surgically put in/removed, it seems inefficient since I'm sure women there have sex with their boyfriends, and they can't have an operation everytime they willingly want to have sex with someone.

I found another version of the article a year or so ago that said the women have to have it removed and placed in surgically. If it's inconvenient to the individual, then "don't get it installed" is what I got from it. Even though it doesn't say anywhere, I assume she could probably remove it with the help of a dildo or another similar sex toy, since sticking your fingers in there to remove it doesn't seem to be the safest way.

I found it.
Apparently it comes with an applicator.

Rapex is inserted and removed with an applicator. It cannot disappear in the body because it cannot go past the cervix.

One beef I have with this item is that like many other dangerous items, Rape-aXe could be misused by women to harm or punish sexual partners. I"m sure there's quite a few vengeful or spiteful women who would love to get their hands on this thing, as there are many women who would use it for self-protection. But I guess you have to take the good with the bad.

I think it just should be clearly stated that in case of purposely harming non-rapists women will be charged for inflicting physical damage on purpose. So I doubt it would be any worse than cases of a woman beating up or otherwise harming her husband/bf. People understand they may get arrested for that, so those cases are not really that common.

If your boyfriend/husband wants to have sex with you and you wear one regularly, they should check first just incase you forgot like you check if you took the pill or you check if you have a regular condom on you.
Personally, I think this is a great idea. It's like taking the gun away from the gunman - if a rapist hurts his penis, he ain't gonna be doing any more raping anytime soon.
