Yeah, that'd be great.

Let's see how many of y'all say it's a cool idea when some jack ass checking his email at 65 miles per hour runs you over.

That is the dumbest idea I have ever read. Carphones only required your hearing, but computers actually require sight to use them.

I think it could be a cool idea. However, it should be wired like the in dash DVD players that only work when the parking break is engaged. Also if you try to sneak and rig it to work without the parking break engaged it will have a fail safe that won't allow it to work.

Only if the computer is not in front of the driver.

Well cops already have a stand attached to their car for their laptop. So where already half way there. But yes, we already have a high number of crashes with people using a cell and not looking at the road. Putting in laptops just adds to that.

Using a cell phone is problematic because people are looking out their windows, but not really seeing, if there were a problem with looking down at radios occasionally, we wouldn't be allowed to have them at all. now, there are plenty of in dash computers in use, as hard drive based music players, map systems, all kinds of things, and not from the car manufacturers.

I think it might be a good idea if the computer is not used by the driver. Or used by the driver but when not driving... I don't know how to get those things carried out though. But, I mean, suppose you are going home from work with a driver, so you do not have to pay attention to the road. That would be great if you could use a computer during this time.
