Isn't her husband part Native? Doubt she's overly racist.
Yes he is.

Because I enjoy accents of all kinds, except for maybe that southern twang. I just hate high pitched voices.
I have like a brilliant accent. ;D
But you'll have to wait for the video to upload. D:<

Palin is ignorent of her surroundings. She is not even close to ready to be VP. And I think Obama is ready, because he looks like a real candidate, acts like one too. And I'd rather a smart person be president than someone like the one we've had for the past 8 years... My question.... WHY did Bush get elected the second time, when he didn't do a good job there first?

I keep hearing things like "Sarah Palin is a REAL person.. I can really identify with her." But shouldn't.. Well, I consider myself fairly well educated, despite only having a smattering of college experience, but all I know is, I do not know nearly enough about politics, foreign affairs, etc, to be into politics. It's just like I am not mechanically inclined, and if I heard the shop talk of a bunch of mechanics, I'd be lost, but that's A-OK. I HOPE that the guy I'm giving $1500 to fix my car knows a lot more about me, and I hope I can't "identify with him" when it comes to fixing cars. No, hopefully he is at the top of his field, and when he talks about cars it should go over my head. That's ok, that's his specialty. That's how it should be.

Now, if I start talking about programming and the lineage of Algol derived languages, or why lazy evaluation is a good thing, or why Lisp macro's are extremely powerful because they provide the full power of the compiler in the preprocessing stage, and coupled with Lisp's extremely regular syntax provides the programmer with the ability to easily construct a domain level language to combine top down and bottom up programming - well, I'd hope that would go over the head of the layman. It should. The average citizen should not be able to 'identify with' specialists in any field. Why would you want to? Would you want the men working on and at the Large Hadron Collider to be like your friend Joe who likes to watch football with you on the weekends while downing a 12 pack of budweiser? Should that be an important requirement for someone - to identify with the average public - to work at the LHC? No, of course not. An important requirement for any extremely involved position with huge responsibilities is that the people involved are at the TOP of their field. That they know more than even most other specialists.

Sarah Palin doesn't even know as much (or have half as intelligent plans) as many 'armchair politicians' - poli-sci professors, history buffs, financial experts, etc, when it comes to the areas involved in being a Vice President (or god forbid, the president.)

Anyone catch the bit where Palin was talking about the financial market crash.

"We need more regulations to prevent this kind of thing from happening..

[30 seconds later]

I'm going to help get the government out of the way of business!"

Make up your mind, Palin. You can't have your cake and eat it too (well, maybe with a stupid public, you can? )
