I personally don't see how anyone could find it attractive for a girl to be parading around looking extremely slutty and just desperate for attention. But we all have our opinions.....i think its horrible that these young girls are wearing things like this.

I think that if your older (like in your 20s) and want to be sexy for your man or whatever thats cool! But keep it clean in front of other people!

I think that it's wrong. I mean, it's wrong to be a pedophile, but it's all right to fuel it? As a society, we need to start making our choices, rather than taking one or two from column a and a couple from column b. Either it's all wrong or it's all okay.

I have to say, I'm shocked by a lot of teenager's costumes as well. I go to a Catholic school and on Halloween we are allowed to wear costumes, and I was absolutely shocked by some of the costumes people were wearing, that their parents were allowing them to wear, and what the administration was allowed to wear.

I mean, maybe I'm just sheltered (I've never owned a crop top, miniskirt, short shorts, or a bikini and I've never worn a spaghetti strap tank top without another shirt over it) but I'm pretty apalled by what some people are wearing. I was a fairy this year, in a black t-shirt and a black skirt that went down to my knees. There were lots of other girls who were also supposed to be fairies, all wearing opaque tights, a tutu, and a leotard. I mean, I have dressed like that before, but always for dance recitals, where you wear a tight leotard and a short skirt because of aerodynamics, not because of looks.

But I wouldn't buy my little Lucy (going to be born in a month!)
A skimpy outfit like that. Not until she is 13-14

Doesn't surprise me, but as long as all that needs to be covered is covered, I don't see a problem.

"Sheltered" seems like an understatement.

I'm not dissappointed in the companies who make these costumes.
I'm dissappointed in the parents who buy them.
Companies wouldn't create these costumes if they didn't sell.
That's what really sad.

Sorry to break the news to you, but the world isn't always quite as conservative as you are. Just because you grew up with those supposed accepted morals, doesn't mean everyone has. My mom used to work at a gentlemans club. She loved working there and probably still would be if she hadn't suffered a spinal injury. Compared so some of the things i've seen, the supposed "Slutty" fairy costumes you're talking about don't even compare. You can go ahead and dress like a nun or whatever everyday of your life, but, especially on a fun occasion such as halloween, I'm not going to be afraid to show some skin, and kudos to anyone who shows skin too. Once again, as long as all that needs to be covered is, i don't see a problem.

I still don't see what's so "sexual" about kids' costumes. Somebody post an example or something; I just don't get it.

Most of these were aimed at "tweens"
