I wouldn't have to do anything, because that situation won't happen. It's so stereotypically and idiotically driven that it won't happen. An Islamic terrorist isn't gonna target a regular family. They're not that stupid.

Now, if someone was running down the street with a knife, I would shoot them. But your situation wouldn't happen.

I'm from the South, too, and I would choose none of those answers because that situation would never happen. Yia, it's a nice joke. It makes me look like an idiot, though, because I'm from a tiny town thirty miles west of Fort Worth, mainly farmland, and a ton of people there would respond that way.

Long story short, being from the South doesn't make your choice of response any smarter.
