Hell to the no. It was said that the dad let the kid play with the gun. How the hell did the kid know how to shoot it anyways? Most guns have a child lock type of thing.
no guns have a child lock on them... It's called a safety
It's quite simple, the child needs to be educated on the firearm, If you are to keep one you should explain that they can be dangerous. The firearm should be kept in a safe place like a safe or a lockable cabinet.

oh and to add to this, Guns do not inspire violence

Young people die from more knife-related injuries than from guns.

In the UK perhaps. I'd say more youths die from guns here in the US.

I think guns should be banned. But the right to bare arms is an issue.

they should change that to the right of self defensive only when completely necessary by kicking ass, not shooting or shiving

What about the police and military? What of people who use guns for sport?

Yes but out of the child's reach. But I guess it depends on the child's behavior. Are the reckless and immature or responsible and trustworthy. But when it comes to little children 7 and under who don't know any better I think they shouldn't be told of where it is.

The police and military arent supposed to be normal civilians theyre supposed to protect. There for in my scenerio they could only use it a gun if completely nessicary.
