They'd get mad.

i personally dont like guns, that doesn't mean they are going to be illegal in 10, 20, 50 years. People are afraid of being taken over.

Well the thing is, banning guns will only get them out of the hands of law-abiding citizens. Sure, you'd a have few accidental discharge while cleaning type of deaths, but the criminals would still have them.

I'm not saying that people should take up arms against all the criminals, but banning guns because people die from them isn't the answer either. More people die from car accidents than from guns and we won't be banning cars any time soon.

If people are going to keep guns with kids, I think it should be more than just hidden.
Things like that need locks.

i love the Constitution, but i like peace better.
im all for human rights and me not liking guns is an opinion. I can accept the use of guns for protection but not for gang activity, other violence, murder.

What else do you do with guns besides kill things?

cars are being changed to have less impact on the environment.
why not revise guns.- remember the thread includes children safety so death matters.

A lot of people shoot at targets.

I'm not talking about a car's impact on the environment, I'm talking about people dying in car accidents. Also, heart disease kills more people than guns, but you'd have a hard time trying to ban french fries.

Basically, I guess I am curious why people want to ban guns because "they kill people" while they ignore things such as automobiles, fatty foods and millions of other things that kill people.

"Should" they? No. But I still support their right to do so.

I personally would not feel safe having a gun in the house with my daughter, and having it in a place where she wouldn't be able to get to it defeats the purpose of having a gun for protection.

It wouldn't defeat the purpose unless you plan on leaving her home alone.
I mean, you could still use it.
