Many people really do not know the true definition of racism. People assume something said is racist but it isnt.

Man I hate it when people say that everyone is a little racist.
I'm not racist at all. The only "racist" comments I might have ever made were stuff like "why is her skin darker than mine?" ....when I was 4.

I think theres a little bit of a racist in everyone. Not that one is racist just that they tend to say race based sentances. Like "She talks black" thats a bit of a racist comment. However i wish that we could get past race i think it is unavoidable for the time being to avoid racists.

Racism is in the eye of the beholder.
If you say something racist, you usually know it. If you say something that some people take in a racist way, and did not intend for it to be racist, then I don't think it was racist. I mean, it's pretty hard to not realize that you're being racist.

I honestly don't think i've ever said anything racist.. Especially when I'm commenting on threads like this. I try to make sure that what I'm saying can't be taken the wrong way.

That pisses me off that you say that, that white people are more racist then black people.
(Not because Im white.) By saying that you're being pretty racist, but your going to say you hate racism, how does that make any sense? Hypocritical much?

Yesterday some guy said he doesn't like black girls and to me that's not racist at all and he was called racist because of that. His reasoning however,was very stereotypical.

Racism is a waste of time and energy. We're all humans, some with different skin colors, eye colors, hair colors, etc.
No, I'm not racist, and I don't agree with the term 'everyone is a little racist'. I'd like to say I'm not racist, because of my background and the way I've been taught, along with what I've learned in life. I don't judge people off of their skin tone, a long with many other people who feel the same. My father is more black than anything, and my mother is more german than anything, I just prefer to say my mother is white and my father is black to shorten it. So, I've been raised with the concrete thought that racism is wrong.

And, to address your other comment. White people ARE NOT more racist than black people. I've met whites that still think blacks and biracials should be in slavery, but I've also met blacks and biracials who think all Europeans are racist just because their ancestors enslaved their ancestors. So, it all depends on who and what they believe. Sorry if that doesn't make sense, but I'm sort of ralled up now. That comment angered me slightly.
