Do I ever have an opinion on racism. Where to begin, where to begin... In my eyes, racism is a stereotype. Not all of a certain race is a certain thing, but a lot of them are. Some things are carried in genes other than color, but not always. I would never dislike somebody just because of their skin color, religion, etc. However, if they act a certain way that is associated with that, that is racism, and is sometimes justified. And another thing, Judaism is a race if you were born and raised that way, but not if you converted.

Most of the black people I know don't act the same. They have similar hair color and texture, and that's about it. Some are cheerleaders, some are science geeks, some are on the crew team and some dig basketball. I don't think that the sports you play or the subjects you like are in your genes. Some people say things like "black people all seem to love fried chicken and watermelon." I think that's more of a cultural thing than a racial thing. Most people from the South tend to love fried chicken. Most blacks have roots somewhere in the south. My aunt Jennie, who is white, blonde, and adorably Southern, also loves fried chicken, watermelon, and black-eyed peas. I don't think that racism is ever justified. Pick on something worthwhile if you're gonna pick on somebody. Call them insecure or pathetic. Don't call them out because of their skin color or hair texture. I don't think that not dating somebody because of their race is racist. People are drawn to certain physical characteristics. I personally am not very picky when it comes to looks, but some people really only go after certain facial structures or hair/eye colors. If somebody doesn't think that Asian guys are for them, I don't judge. While I may love redheads, somebody else might think that red hair looks dorky on a guy. If a girl can say that she prefers blondes, why can't she say that she prefers black dudes or something of that sort?

I feel like racism is when you generalize an entire race, by pointing out something bad, or associating them with a sterotype. I think that him saying he doesn't like black girls, no matter what he meant by it, is racist. You can't say you don't like. Or you're not attracted to black girls, based on a few of them you've seen in your life. You're defining a race based on what you've seen of a certain race.

If he is not physically/romantically attracted to them, he should be able to say that. If he says "I don't like redheads" nobody would think twice, probably. As long as he still treats them well, I think it's fine. If a guy that I liked said "I can't picture myself with a Latina," I would simply be annoyed that he doesn't like me. I'd react the same way if a guy said "I can't picture myself with a brunette."

I'd be offended if a guy came up to me and said "I can't picture myself with a brunette" or "I can't picture myself dating someone who's short" It's not racist, obviously, but it's offensive towards a certain group of people. That's like saying "I can't picture myself dating someone who's bisexual." It's offensive.
