Ouija boards are devices used that open up the barrier between us and the Spirit World that only a few selected of us can see. It depends on what kind of energy is around that the Ouija Board will summon. It is very likely it would be a negative spirit or demonic presence, but there's also a chance it could be a lost soul who still lingers in purgatory. When people are posting here, "they well get possessed". You are half correct. A spirit can only posses you like a demon can, if you suffer from a mental illness, depression, stress, or anger. In Medieval times, women were thought to be more likely to be possessed 'cause of their "small brains". Or if you're inviting them in.

Halloween is Samhain, which is when the Spirit World will be visible to all. Going to a cemetery and summoning something can be very regretful.

Honestly, I think those kids are stupid.

I also believe as you do. I believe that ghosts could mess with them and spirits could possess them--good or evil. Halloween/Samhain is when spirits are most active, so there's more of a chance that things can happen. Not necessarily bad things, mind you--most spirits just want to be left alone and will try to scare you away, but nothing physical. However, there are the nasty ones. If they go into the wrong graveyard and say the wrong thing, someone could get seriously hurt.

Also, on a note they might take to better than possessions and scare tactics, going into a graveyard at night is actually trespassing on private property, which is a misdemeanor and will follow them for the rest of their lives if they're caught. With it being Halloween, I bet you that the cops will be patrolling the graveyards and surrounding areas--at least that's what I'd be doing if I were a cop. Have them chew on that.

Haha. Yes, I will report what happens to them after Halloween. I wonder if it really will do any of them harm.

The thing is, I'm afraid they're going to bring some sort of curse upon the school or something. I know it sounds silly and stupid, but there are about 20 or 30 kids going to this and they're laughing about it all the time. I'm really worried they're going to bring some bad vibes into the school.

I've read every single post and I think it's fascinating to see what you all have to say about it.

None of us are fully capable of telling what ghosts can do.

But anyways...
I would really love to see those kids get taken over by a ghost.
Even though that is bad karma, truthfully i think it's really stupid of them to do such an ignorant stupid thing.

Thats wrong of them to go disturd spirits (if they're even real,spirits I mean) I hope someone warns them about it, and if they dont listen, and a ghost/spirit scares the be bejeezus out of them, that they deserve it for calling out spirits for the wrong reason.

I haven't met any ghosts yet, so I cannot say I believe in them. I do not deny the possibility of their existence, but most ghost stories I've heard did not sound very convincing. I highly doubt anything will happen to those kids, but I find it disrespectful to curse at the dead. "De mortuis aut bene aut nihil" - "Either good or nothing about the dead".

Well, I don't actually think Ghouls can. They just feed off your energy....
But Demons can. Demons can and do posses the people who are usually leading the Seance (SP?).
Ouija boards are unpredictable. You don't know who or what you are going to contact.

I don't believe in spirits, or ghosts. Never used a Ouija board.

All I know is that those kids are morons for wanting to disturb the dead. It's rude.
