You might want to chillax and read the original thread before you start having a fit.
Nobody is following them around and what defines a stupid question?

There are quite a few "stupid" questions that we get asked almost every day, such as users wanting us to unban them, give them coinz, make them VIP, make them a mod or admin, etc. We also get constantly asked why our names are blue, what we are, and what we can do. They're not really "stupid," which is why I put it in quotes, but they're more annoying than anything because all of those questions are answered in the moderator application thread.

I've read this thread from the first post to the last. I respect and acknowledge everyone's opinion and now I would like to express mine.

I've come across a lot of posts stating that they've seen mods abusing their powers. What would you constitute as a mod "abusing" their power? And if that is the case, why was it not reported? We all have to follow the rules, and so a blue name does not mean we're higher, or above the rules. This is an important point. It has been said a lot in this thread and I'll repeat it for good measure. If you see a mod breaking the rules, it needs to be reported.

I'm a new mod, I started just over a month ago. I try to be as polite as I can to other users in MN and this has always been the case, even before I was a mod. Having a blue name, as far as I'm aware, has not changed the way I behave.

I find it really upsetting that the majority judge us because of our "blue name" before getting to know us. We're all individuals. Try not to judge the whole group because of a few bad experiences you've all had. At the end of the day you need to remember that we are still human and no human, by any means, is perfect.

If someone wants to get their account back Or when I needed to know how to apply to be a moderator? How is that stupid?
When I was new to meez and didnt know about banning and infractions is it so wrong of me to ask?

It really worries me that moderators think the way you do ...

I think you missed the point she was trying to put across.

Most mods put FAQ in their bio and so when a user asks a fairly common question, we simply direct them there.

Like I said, it's not a stupid question. I'm a pretty big believer that there are no stupid questions. It can be annoying, however, that so many people ask us these questions because the answers are posted many other places, but I do answer when asked.

What's more annoying is when Meezers expect us as moderators to be able to undo bans, give accounts back, or immediately place them as moderators, and then get mad at us when we simply explain that we don't have those powers.

Sorry if I was unclear.

"THIS." ♥

"I haven't changed the way I behave on this site when my name went from pink to blue; nothing special, really. Ask my friends and look around- I'm still offering my own thoughts in a polite way, whilst still communicating with others and particularly friends."

It's really not too hard of a concept to grasp. It's one simple word: Report.

You're excused. If you read all of the thread posts, you would realize that a majority of the people and mods in here have said not to jump to conclusions, think about a moderators stress, and if they are TRULY abusing power...REPORT.
