I know a fair few people who have commited to not have sex before marriage - they just tend not to be as outright with it as in America.

People can run around and do as they please. The only people I'm concerned with sexually are me and the guy I'm dating.

I go to Catholic school, so there is extreme pressure to remain "clean". It's actually kind of sad. If you even flash your boyfriend of 2 years or show him a picture, the whole school turns on you and it's like a witch hunt. In most schools, teens are pressured to sleep around and get pregnant and things like that. At my school, if you leak that you had sex.... Dang, I feel sorry for you.
I think that I would want to wait until I was at least around a year into the relationship to have sex. If I can stay with somebody for a year, it's good enough for me. Of course, just being together a year doesn't mean we'd be ready. But just to prevent myself from being used, and so some real emotion is involved, I'd want to wait. Saving it for marriage may not be what I do, but still, I want there to be some expression of love or emotion. Assuming I ever find a relationship that has that much love or emotion in it, of course.

One night stands are so common over here, if you go out and get drunk without at least almost getting laid, then your night failed. That's how it works for most.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with it and there never will be. Sex without love? Marriage can be without love too, which ultimately culminates in sex. Equalling sex without love.

Thats what I was going to say. To me, sex isn't a big thing as long as you're careful. Where I'm from, girls think it's cute to sleep with countless numbers of boys.

I personally find that disgusting. I don't judge, but sleeping with so many guys carelessly doesn't sit well with me at all.

I agree. Although I don't care if someone sleeps around, I would think less of myself if I did.
I don't take sex lightly, so it's very unlikely I'd be able to sleep with someone I haven't known for quite some time.
