Mostly the first, but I think that if you are truly committed to somebody and wait until there is some real sentimental value, you won't have loads of sex partners, because the time between having sex with different people is longer. I hope that makes sense. But odds are that if you look for commitment in sex, you won't experiment and you'll go longer between having sex with different people, and that equals fewer people slept with at the same age as somebody who just likes to sleep with random people.
