Uncommitted sex, one night stands, etc, what ever you wanna call it.

Is it bad? Should to people who don't love each other have sex? Is it wrong for two bestfriends to have sex? Should people wait until marriage?

Personally I don't view it as a bad thing, me and my best friend have sex sometimes. When we're at his house and stuff. We're ex's anyway so I guess that makes it different? I don't know. I don't get why people say "sex is for married people" because some people don't get married for ages. We are only human and have urges.

So meez, what's your views on this?

There's nothing wrong with uncommited sex.
Well, there is if you're already with someone and that person is not the one you slept with.
But I see nothing wrong with it, and I don't think people should be hated and looked down upon for having a one night stand.
As long as protection is used, and both parties consent to it, and you're not already with someone, I see no problem with it.
Making love is an instinct that all humans are born with. It's what keeps the human race going. But I don't think it should only be used for pro-creation purposes (and it isn't, anyway. Well, not always).
I personally wouldn't have a one night stand. I'm waiting for the right person. I refuse to give my virtue up to any random guy who asks.
But yeah.
So, no. Uncommited sex, IMO, isn't wrong.

Certainly not for me, but I don't care what others do; it's their choice and their business. As long as they're not hurting anyone, why should I care?

I see nothing wrong with it, if both people are aware it is just for one night and consent to it and if you are not cheating on anyone you are in a relationship with atm.

It is actually quite normal if people have been single for a period of time that they have a desire to have sex. It is a natural instinct, why not fulfill it?

I myself see nothing wrong with it, like lo_specchio said as long as both are aware that its a one time thing then go for it. For me though i could not have sex with someone and not care for them, id have to be in love with him first. Sex for me is love and passion and expressing that love and passion in a physical way with the person i love, so for me it's impossible to have sex with someone i don't love (that im in love with).

Imo, You should wait to have sex until you're certain you want to spend the rest of your life with this person, and they feel the same way too. But, it's not my place to choose for someone when and who they have sex with. If they have no problem with a one night stand, then they can have all the one night stands they want to.

I'm from the UK, but reading some of these answers I feel compelled to say that sometimes sex is just sex. Sex doesn't have to be love.

Personally, I've never understood how American kids can wear chastity rings and not frollick about. But I guess it's just a societal thing.
