Illegals rent, as do many legal citizens. Therefore, they don't have to pay property tax. They pay taxes on the items that they buy. They don't pay income taxes, but their incomes are so low that it doesn't make much difference. But if they go into Wal-Mart and buy shampoo, they pay a tax on it, just like you an me.

It is untrue to say that they don't pay taxes at all, though. But yeah, they don't pay income tax. I think that they should pay for their education, transportation, and protection, but their incomes are so low that I doubt it would cover much of anything. Income tax really only works if you are above minimum wage.

Also, illegals contribute a LOT to society. Much of the fruit you eat is picked by illegal migrant workers. Do you remember when the immigrants who worked for Mr. Smoothie had a protest to show that they do contribute to the economy and refused to work for a few days? Mr. Smoothie was hurting. Sure, they may not be doctors or teachers, but they have important jobs. You may not have fruit to eat if it wasn't for them.

They DO pay taxes, they get a pay check JUST like everyone else. They would only get caught and deported if they were to FILE to get taxes at the end of the year. Which they do NOT, so even though they pay taxes they do not get them back at the end of the year. Do not tell they don't pay taxes when I personally have see not only my fiance's checks, but his families, and the people that I work with. They ALL pay fedral, and state taxes. They also pay medicade and SS taxes, and they aren't even able to use any of those services.

The only way anyone wouldn't pay taxes if they got paid under the table. Which some do.
But if taxes are your biggest problem, there are plenty of AMERICANS who do not pay taxes either.

The topic is "illegal immigration."

If you wanted it to be soley about illegal immigrants from Mexico, that's what you should have put. If you are against illegal immigration, then you need to acknowledge ALL illegal immigrants not just the ones from Mexico. And illegal immigrant is an illegal immigrant no matter where they are from.
