I Change My Signature Options?

1. Open your close-up.

2. Click View>Zoom>400%.

3. Click the free select tool and select the place for your eyeshadow.

4. Go to Colors>Colorize.

5. Change the settings to what color you like.

6. Thats not all! Go to Filters>Blur>Gaussian Blur... And change the settings like so: (then click 'OK')

Now your done! You can also do this for the lips. But don't add Gaussian Blur on the lips! I WARN YOU! Try it yourself.

WARNING: There may be spoilers in some of the steps!
Needed:
GIMP 2.6.7 (2.6.7 is the version Im using. I recommend you use this )

Now is the start...

Step 1. Copy your face or eye closeup (Face is recommended!)

Step 2. Paste it as a new image on GIMP.

Step 3. Click View>Zoom>400%

Step 4. Click any tool and draw on the eye.

Step 5. Click Colors>Colorize.

Step 6. Change the settings to anything you like.

Step 7. Repeat Steps 4-6 on the other eye.

Then your done!

How to make a raining image on GIMP (With GAP (GIMP Animation Package) [IMAGE TUT]

Needed:
GAP (GIMP Animation package)
GIMP (GNU Image Manipulation Program)
How-To:
1. Download GAP.
2. Extract the files.
3. Go to the EXTRAS and check how to install the extras.
4. Open up GIMP (Im Using GIMP 2.6.7)

5. Get a close-up.

6. Open the close-up as a new image on GIMP.

7. Go to Video>Animation FX>Animated Rain...

8. Copy This Settings:

9. Then watch your new image (Filters> Animation> Playback)

Quick and Easy Hair Editing! For Beginners with Gimp!

Here is a quick and easy tutorial on making hair! I know it's not perfect, but I ust thought I'd share a simple trick I use with any people that are new to editing! Enjoy!

1. Select your hairstyle that you would like to edit.

2. Go to "Change Look." Zoom in by pressing the magnifying glass in the corner of your screen. If it is not there, you should be able to zoom by pressing a key on your keyboard, clicking on a zoom icon somewhere else on your screen, or in settings. Then, Press the "Print Scr" button.

3. Open Microsoft Paint or your Photoshop (I use Gimp) and paste it!

4. Now, crop your image so that nothing else is around your Meez (not even "meez.com") so there is nothing unnecessary in your image. If you start on Paint, copy it!

5. Next, open your photoshop (Gimp in this tutorial). Go to "Edit" and then press "Paste."

6. Once, pasted, use the "Zoom" tool to 'enlarge' your Meez, like so. (sorry that this Screen image is cut off)

7. Now select a color somewhat but not too close to the color of your Meez's hair.

8. Click on the "Pencil" tool on the right , and lower your "scale" (in the "Tool Options" box) so it is to its farthest point to the left. Opacity should be 100% as well!

9. Now, draw even lines carefully inside the hair and on the edges using the Pencil Tool.

10. Repeat steps 7-9 until your Meez's hair has lines of 3 different colors. Remember to use SIMILAR colors that are TINTS and SHADES (lighter and darker values of your first color).

11. Then, click on the "Smudge" tool in the toolbox. Your smudge tool should have a rate of "10." Size is not too important, but the size of your smudge tool should be medium sized- not too large that it would ruin the image, but not too small either, which would just be uneffective.

12. Lightly smudge one section of the hair, gently going back and forth, until the pixelized lines are smooth, but not overly blurred/smudged. Then, repeating this step, finish the hair. And, woolah!

For quality results, you can also try lowering your "rate" when you smudge or adding more pencil lines before you smudge. No matter what you do, just keep it easy on yourself if you're new to this! Haha and don't forget to have fun!

How To Do A Hair Edit And Closeups-taylorsnrtist

Now press PRTSC SYSRQ next to the F12 button (press this to get closeups as well
if doing a closeup open paint and paste the picture and crop it to your avatar and edit you can do this on gimp or photoshop too)

open Gimp or photo shop in this case im opening gimp

now click the droplet thing

Now drag that and put it on the darkest color of your avatars hair

Once you did that click the pencil tool and start coloring your hair (you can use any color)
it should look something like this.

Now take the droplet tool and click on the lightest part of the hair and do the same thing
it should look something like this i can do this much more neatly but i decided not to.

Now you cant use paint for this only gimp i dont know about photoshop but there will be a sign called the smudge icon if you use gimp like me it should look like this

So. What are these sites and downloadables used for? GIMP is where all of our tools are used and where we will be editing. The Ettaha-San Brush is a special brush to make neat strokes for hair edits. Photobucket and Tinypic are two websites where you can upload your saved edits/closeups,etc. To them, and they give you a code so that you can link your images to meez.
After you download them, you can find GIMP as a shortcut on your desktop, but if you have different users on your PC it will only be a shortcut on the user you downloaded it on. The Ettaha-San brush can be found in the file Gimp 2.(whatever version you have)>Brushes. And photobucket and tinypic are only found when you type their address in the url box, or click the given link. By right clicking over a certain area on the sites (I'm not sure where yet) and click 'Create Shortcut' it will create a shortcut on your desktop, but only on the user your create it on.

You can download these by:

GIMP- click on the download link
Photobucket or Tinypic- Register
Ettaha-San Brush-( I am not using images to this part for safety and hijacking reasons)
1. Click on the Ettaha-San Brush.
2. Go toward the right and a bunch of tabs will fan out. Click the one that says download.
3. Once download, click and drag so that all of the boxes and captions are highlited. Let go of the mouse.
4. Right click over all the highlited files and hit copy. Do not close.
5. Go to 'My Computer'
6. Click on the file including the name of the brand of your tower.
7. Click 'Documents and Settings'
8. Click on the user you are currently on
9. Select .gimp-
10. Select brushes
11. Scroll to an empty space and right click paste. Exit and open Gimp to check for the brushes. If they are not there. Try again.

:questionmark:Where can I find closeups to edit?

Most meezers have a link to their photobucket or tinypic called closeups or make me something in their siggy. If you click on it, it will lead you to all of their closeups they have prepared for meezers like you. Once you have found the image you'd like to edit, click on it, and wait until a larger version of the image appears. Right click and save. That's all.
If you'd like to create you own, start by going to the meezmaker. This process is unquestionably simple, therefore, I am not uploading images to this part either. Once your in the meezmaker, dress up your avatar however you want to, beings you don't have to pay for any of the items.
3. Once you have the outfit and animation on that you choose,(and a white background) Press the Print Screen Button(also could be SysRq), near the F12 button. Go into paint and crop the image so that it is just a white background and your avi. (Preferably no www.meez.com text)
4. Save your image.
5. Go into your photobucket/tinypic and upload it
6. Link it to your siggy by creating the text (i.e.) Jimbob's closeups in your signature. Highlite it and go back to your photobucket/tinypic and copy the url.
7. Go back to your signature and, while your text is still highlited, click on the picture of the earth and a chain. Highlite http:// and hit paste. Click OK. Voila!

:questionmark:How do I get it to GIMP?
Just open up GIMP. Go to File, then Open. Select your image. And your done! Try resizing the window though.

:questionmark:How do I edit?

First, you should always erase the background.

Use the fuzzy select tool to select the background of your avi.
After your background is selected, Go to Select>Grow>1 pixel
Right click your background layer
Select 'Add Alpha Channel'
Use the eraser tool to erase your background

Let's start with the eyes!

There are three ways to edit eyes the Lulu way!!

Let's start with regular looking eyes!

Zoom in towards the eye.
Use the lasso tool to select everything in the eye except for the pupil and the white part
Create a new layer called eyes.
Create an ombre, with any color within the...iris...is that what it's called?
Once finished one eye, go back onto the background layer, and use the lasso tool around the...iris again.
Go back to the eyes layer and create the same ombre. If you go to the colors and use the colors towards the bottom, those are the previously used colors.
When done both eyes, go to Filters>Blue>Gaussian Blue>6.0>Select
Go to Dodge/Burn and select a thin brush select dodge and go around the whole way and create lines from the pupil to the outside iris. Do this then with dodge, and then burn again.
Select the darkest black and make the brush a large enough size to match what the pupil looked like before and just click over the iris
Do the same with the white dots in the eye, but with white.
Zoom out and look at your work. Touch up if needed.

We could also try Glowing Eyes the Lulu way!!

Use the lasso tool to select the entire eye, (yes pupil, iris, white, everything)
Select the whitest white
Create a new layer called eyes
Color in the eye with the paint tool
Do the same for the other eye
When your done. Unselect with the fuzzy select tool.
Go to Filters>Blur>Gaussian Blue>6.0>Select

Or we could do Rainbow Glowing Eyes the Lulu way!!

Use the lasso tool to select the entire eye
Create a new layer called eyes
Create a diagonal ombre with any color.
Do the exact same thing in the other eye
Go to Filters>Blur>Gaussian Blur>4.0>Select
Touch up if needed

Go to the Forum and paste the link into any post.

What is the Media Box? The Media Box allows you to really customize your profile. Almost anything you can put on a webpage, you can put in your Meez profile, through the magic of HTML. HTML is just text with some symbols in it, like < and > You can cut and paste bits of it into your profile to make your profile look better. For example, you could include images, music, or videos. What you include is up to you. In general, if it appears on a webpage, you can find a way to include it. How do I use the Media Box?

Embedding an image into your Media Box:
To embed an image, enter "", where XXXXX is the URL of the image. For example, to embed an image with the URL http://images.meez.com/user04/02/02_10030398808.jpg, you would enter:

Embedding a YouTube Video into your Media Box:
To embed a YouTube video, find the video's page on YouTube, then copy the text out of the 'Embed' box on YouTube and into your Media Box. This 'Embed' box appears on the right hand side of the page, under the 'Subscribe' button. For example, to embed the following video: YouTube - Meez - Your Angel You could use this:
Embedding a Google Video into your Media Box:
Under the video title on the top right of the page, there is a link named 'Embed'. Simply click this and some text will appear in a drop-down menu. Copy this text into your Media Box.
Embedding videos from other video sites into your Media Box:
Go to the page of the video you wish to include, and look for the word 'Embed' on that page. Most video sites now have a box which include the HTML you need to copy into your Media Box to make that video show in your profile. If a particular site does not have any obvious way of including its videos, you can contact us for help.

How do I find good embeddable content for my Media Box? First, decide what sort of content you would like to feature on your profile. It can be music, video, images, or anything else you think would fit on a web page. If it is an image or audio, you can find it by searching for it in Google, and then embed it with the instructions above. So, if you were searching for an image of a brown bear, you might search for: 'brown bear' using the Google image search.
If it is a video, Google and search for it, plus the term 'embed'. So, if you wanted political videos, you might search for 'politics video embed' or 'political video embed'. If you wanted to put images of bears on your page, you might search for 'bears video embed'. By including the word 'embed' you should find only results that have a clear 'embed' link, such as imeem.com. This embed link will provide you the HTML text you can copy into your Media Box. Just copy it in, and save.

Note that these skins are designed for MySpace, but they also work in your Media Box on Meez. Simply get the code for the skin you like, and paste it into your Media Box. Note that your Media Box will take on that style, but the rest of your profile won't. You can use this to include your favorite large image in your Media Box as a background. You can put other content (like YouTube videos, images, or music players) on top of a background image or skin, simply by adding it after the code for the skin.
