I'm looking some fashion magazins online and I just discover that I'm not fat but obese for the fashion industry.

I'm talking tro all myFCers, do you believe that fashion industry should put standard that are so high that they are almost unreachable..?

(by the way I'm 132lbs for 5 ft 2, which I consider curvy, not obese.)

Yeah, the fashion industry now a days are like for skinny people only! Skinny or Thinny shall I put it and that is just terrible, they don't think of the avarage, curvy and obese people, makes me SICK!

I don't know how am i in pounds (we work with kilograms and meters) but i know i'm not fit.
But i think that if you feel good in your skin than no one can tell you that you don't look good or you're not fashionable. Actually there's no such thing - fashion - it's just people who feel good in their skin making a lot of money from that.

I'm 70 kilos for 1,74 - not fit but i feel really good! Thanks! You're right too - they wouldn't put us standards but we mustn't follow them too. A person who don't follow them will be better than a person who does because he/she will never bother how the others will take him/her.

Its because they could care less about us. Their making all of this for the majority or people, and right now thats really skinny people. Its very rude and upsets a lot, but it still sells. If some people havent noticed, alot of the richies are very skinny, therefore they buy more and dont have to look as long. They just take any old thing off the rack and buy it. They pay more money then the average looking person. Its sad but its the truth and someone needs to put a stop to it. I dont know who can but someone should.

Kimmy, I'm not sure of what your point. In fact, it's proven that the common of mortal is about size 10/12. It's also a proven fact that rich people do buy more expensive clothing but the difference is that if the majority (which is size 10/12) do buy more clothes a year than the minority (which is skinnier..)

I'm 1.74 and i can't fit in any normal top! They're all so short!
Many designers are against the skinny models but they still make clothes for such girls.
But i think the tendency of the skinny people will stop when the fashion revues stop. That means never - and it is really sad because many girls are getting ill of anorexia or bulimia (or both of them) just because they think they're not fit enough like the models from the TV. And the can DIE! Actually the biggest part of these girls really dies!
