| i have fluffy wavy thick long hair but some times i wont it straight hair i wont to buy a flat iron but my mom says it will burn my hair and when i'm older my hair will be thin . is she wrong ? | |||||||

You can get pretty good heat protection sprays and stuff. I straighten mine occasionally and it's never done my hair any damage - it would if you do it too often though.

What Emi said, plus it can also, if you use it very much, change the type of your hair like making them straight or a bit wavy. That's because the hair will be damaged from the heat.

It depends i straightend my hair alot and it got really dameged so i had to get it cut

If you dont want it to be badly burnt then you should put the heat level on low, thats what i do. Also dont straighten your hair when its wet even if its one of the wet to straight ones because it will fry your hair.

Yess whatever you do, dont strighten your hair when its wet! make sure you get good conditioners and its good if you use heat protectant spray! also to keep your ends looking nice, get a trim/dusting every 3-6 weeks. =] | |||||||
