Cool Icon Too many to just name one!

Ooh, narrow it down to one? Not sure I can. I can give a list, though:

Logan/Wolverine, too badass for words.

Warren/Angel, manages to have fun more than angst.

Peter/Colossus, big man with a big heart.

Remy/Gambit, just too hot to handle.

Exactly what do you mean, overrated? Since when did anyone have to be invincible to be awesome? The fact that he has vulnerabilities to certain other characters is what makes him so cool. You get a character who has no weakness to anyone and it's boring and lame as hell.

Let's not forget that Wolverine also gets his brain scrubbed and tweaked on a regular basis and has serious amnesia issues as well. That and he keeps finding out he has offspring who seem to resent the fact that he doesn't know they exist. You know, if you want true Marty Stu characters to make you happy, you should stick to DC.

Nah, meant the person you were replying to. Agree with you that he can be owned, but so can they by others. The beauty of Marvel is there's always at least one other person tailor made to kick your butt. For example, Rogue then gets owned by Gambit.

Calm down, calm down. My favourite is Gambit, so please don't insult me with mary-sueim.
Wolverine was amazing character. Till the movies killed it. And Rogue as well. But she kind of survived it in my mind so she's still my fav.
You'll notice Gambit's on my list, too. Really? You liked Rogue in the movies? I found her too emo and not the Rogue who likes to tell people exactly what hole to shove it in and how deep. I liked the portrayal of Wolverine, however, which stayed closer to the right personality. Now the way they did Angel made me want to gag. Wasn't pretty enough and Angel wouldn't spend all of his time whining like that. They needed to have a little more of Colossus for me to form an opinion on him, and we'll have to wait for Wolverine: Origins to see if they get Gambit right.

Not exactly liked..I just didn't pay enough attention to her. I took her as different character. You know, how she wasn't with Mistique and so on.
It wasn't exactly the movies, but the fan-buzz that boomed after they were out. All that "OMG!!1!!WOLWERINE!!:-))"..I don't know, hard to explain .)
Okay, so it's not that you think Wolverine is overrated so much as you just don't like the unwashed masses fans who latched onto him or something? That would be more understandable, in a way, as a lot of people hate it when something cool becomes popular as well. Ruins the geek factor for a great many.
