how many are actual geeks at their schools?

i am like kind of a geek because im smart. But yet i have many friends.

Ahhh....school. All those years ago. Lifetimes.

I was Drama Geek...and sort of a dorky geek as well. Random Beatle/Monkee facts that I knew along with Star Wars. Fun times!

I'm sure I don't know. Most seemed to think I was really deep and wise, that I had figured it all out and risen above. Ha! How little they knew about me.

I think "Geekiness" has become increasingly accepted in kids today. Even when I was in school, it wasn't a terrible thing to be considered a nerd/geek/etc. And there was a lot of overlap between cliques when I was in high school.

I guess to answer your question, I was part of - or had many friends in - a lot of the groups: the Geek crowd, the Drama crowd, the Punks/Freaks, the druggies, the Band nerds, the New Age/Wiccan/Pagan group, and to some extent the Jocks (in the year ahead of me), etc.

I didn't realize it, but people thought I was... Scary. I'm not really sure why.

Pfft. I don't label myself, but I have been called..weird,creep,nerd,geek,freak, emo (it was a phrase) and a randomer.
All in the nicest possible ways.

I havent been called a geek. Just like a 'smart girl' or 'nerd' as a joke. It wasnt serious. They just said im smart and wear glasses. But normally im far from a 'geek'.

I'm not much of a labeler, but in high school I was called a geek. Mainly because I usually scored 80 and above on all exams.

And thereafter in college I was called the 'super geek' because I graduated valedictorian in high school.

I guess that answers your question.
