I finally got around to watching it and it was a lot less dissapointing than I thought it would be.
I also wanted to know; are there three or four seasons of Death Note?

Well, idk, I just thought the movie would be utter crap because it was a a real movie of a fantastic cartoon series, but it didn't disappoint. It actually gave me shivers. And when Light told about how he had planned his girlfriends death, me and my friend were screaming over and over and shouting 'holy shiz he's a mother freaking genius'

I thought the movie was really entertaining. It may have strayed from the manga a little but i thought it was still awesome. And the ending part with his girlfriend shocked me as well. I was like "dude, what the hell?!"

Death Note is 37episodes so it doesn't break up evenly into seasons. But Amazon sells 2 box sets. 1 has episodes 1-20. Number 2 has episodes has 21-37. Then there are a bonus anime ova type thing and the live action movies.

So technically there are only 2 seasons.

I loved the movies. I thought they were really funny and an interesting adaptation of the original manga. Still true to the tone set in the manga. I didn't really care for the Near and Mello bits anyway...

There are two seasons of Deathnote, thirteen mangas (the thirteenth one is more of , everything about the series thing), three movies, and a graphic novel *blushes* sorry, I know a lot about Deathnote. Yeah, the movies I like them, I really don't want them to be remade

I thought it was great. Except the ending in the first movie bothered me because it was just left as Misa was about to be murdered and then in the second one they continued the scene. The third one which is L and two kids was pretty cool.

L change the world wasn't as amazing as it looked in previews, but it was still pretty effing good.
Yeah, the movie itself didn't follow the Manga all the well, but I guess squeezing thirty some episodes into 2 movies is rather difficult and bringing Near into it would just be a hassle
