And it depends.If you are a person who likes to surf random websites,then mac would be much better considering,the lack of viruses for a mac.
But wti PC's theres so much more promise-and they last long(personal exprience) and as long as you have a good antivirus software,your perfectly fine :]

And exactly *what* promise is in PCs? Every version of Windows gets worse and worse. Every version of Mac OS X gets better and better.
As for antivirus, my mom got a killer computer virus. Couldn't use the computer for a week. She has 3, count 'em 3, antivirus softwares. Better to not have that risk at all - get a Mac!

Ah, but you're SO wrong. Macs are so much better. "Paying for the name" is a myth... Windows is just OS X upside down and backwards. It's like a knockoff purse. If you want quality, buy the real thing, it'll cost a bit more, but it'll last a long time, whereas the cheap knockoff will fall apart eventually.
If you really must have your beloved OS X-backwards (sorry, I meant Windows) you can always run it on a Mac. With a Mac you're buying 2 computers in one, really.
Twice the price? Oh really? Someone did a study - they configured a Dell computer, a HP computer, and a Toshiba computer with the same specs as a 15 inch Macbook Pro. Guess which computer cost the LEAST? The Mac.

I do hope you find a cure for your Windows-itis. The only known remedy so far is a trip to your local Apple store.

PC, for sure. Mac is not compatible with pretty much anything, at least in a proper way. Not to mention the necessity to convert a whole load of files to be able to use them on PC's at work, or at a friend's/relative's house.
