Oh REALLY. Then you should enjoy Windows 7. Note how wonderfully it worked for these folks on live TV. YouTube - win7 demo (japanese tv show)
If you think a PC kicks ass, you've never seen a Mac*. Go enjoy your BSOD's while I enjoy my crash free Mac.
*Macs have a magnetic power cord. And a tiny, wireless remote. And a mouse that's also a trackpad. And an 8 hour battery. Plus let's not forget that you can backlight the keys in color. (I did that today. Awesomeness. PM me if you want to know how.) And the MacBook Pro is made of a solid sheet of aluminum. What do you think is "kick ass" now?

Ah, another few PC people. If you only knew what Macs were like, you'd be amazed. Just try one! Doesn't cost a thing, if you go to the Apple Store.
I've found it's way easier to get parts for Macs than for PCs.
Apparently you've never built your PC yourself. Go to either NewEgg.com or TigerDirect.com. Parts for Macs do exist, but they're few and far between if you're not buying them directly from the Apple store. Parts for PCs? Out the wazzoo. Meaning that your PC, if you know your stuff, can be fully customized to what you want.

And if you want tiny computers, go to the PC section of Best Buy. Ever heard of a netbook? MacBooks are 13 inches to 17 inches (my fav is the 15 inches.) If you're talking about thinness, sure, go enjoy your big bulky laptop while I enjoy my super thin and portable one.
Not attempting to put down NetBooks here, but their processors just aren't good enough to do all of the things that people expect them to do. (They call it an Atom for a reason. ) This is why I avoid them. I dunno about the MacBooks, though. If I'm ever looking for a smaller laptop, I'd probably go that way, but HP just came out with an AWESOME 14" that's in stores now. You should take a look.

You know, you're only proving me right when you say you don't like Macs and you've never used one. How can you know if you like a Mac or not if you've never used one? It's like saying "I hate pizza, and I've never eaten it. >_O
I'd REALLY like to see some people who have used Macs and still like their PCs.
You're looking at one right here. *evil grin*

I used tons of Macs during my formative years. Macs were all that my school ever had. I have never liked the operating system or its setup. Compared to the Windows 3.1 that we had at home as a kid, the Macs at school lagged horribly.

Also, every time I went over to my friend Caitlin's house (her family was straight Mac), I could never get anything done on their computers. The OS was confusing, trying to permanently close programs was a hassle, etc. Oh, sure, I can just get used to it? It takes getting used to? Sorry, can't, due to the next item of business!

Another huge thumbs down to the Mac is due to me being a gamer: the fair majority (at least 95%) of games are not compatible with Macs. I need a computer that can do everything well, not just a few things. Hence me building my own PC.

Also, to the virus issue. If people would be smart and take the necessary precautions (firewalls, good virus protection, being smart about the websites you visit, etc.), viruses would never be an issue. My family has been using PCs for years, and we've only gotten one virus: one that changed the name of text documents to the name of its creator. One tiny pesky virus over the course of 20 years? I think I can deal with it.

You're talking about Windows $#@% 3.1. Do you have ANY idea how much OSes have changed since then? Why don't you go try to use one of the latest Macs?
Speaking of doing everything well... My Mac does everything I want it to and more.
And for games, we all know Macs are for productivity. Want to game? Download one of the multitudes of awesome Mac games, or grab a copy of Windows and run it on your Mac.
And as for viruses? Your family is lucky. 99.9% of other Windows users don't have such luck. Seriously, go to Las Vegas or something. Almost every Windows user I know has gotten a virus at some point or another. Sucks for them. Get a Mac.

Seriously, I tried to use my mom's PC once. I couldn't get ANYTHING done. I was like, Where's the window switcher? Where's the keyboard shortcuts? Where's the Columns View? Where did my &#$@ window go? Why can't I get anything DONE on this thing? >_<
It's true. Use a Mac, you'll never go back. Ever.

Lol y can't us PC/Mac users just get a long..it's true that Macs can do a lot of things so much better than PC's and visa versa...i personally think macs are awesome for graphics programs even though i'm a PC user... I just like the freedom that Windows gives me to costumize stuff like in the registry more so than on a Mac.

and a quick question..can't u install a Mac OS on a machine built for Windows? I think i heard it was possible..even a dual-boot

Yeah, PCs do some stuff right, but Macs do everything right
And yes, you can install Mac OS X on a PC. Unofficial, but it works. Here's how: Install Snow Leopard on Your Hackintosh PC, No Hacking Required - Hackintosh - Lifehacker

PC all the way, Macs, I cant stand them, Ive used them before, ive used some of the newer ones too. PC is just more classic and awesome l0l. One thing i dont like about Mac is the terrible terrible lag. My friend has a Mac, its a newer one too. And she cant even get on meez with it. It just doesnt let her, she says its WAY to slow to even bother. And Macs are WAY to over priced if you ask me.

Lag? O_O You have to be kidding me. That's your internet connection speed, not the computer. Macs are the fastest. I NEVER have any lag. At all.
Speaking of classic and awesome.. Who had the first GUI computer? Hint: It wasn't Microsoft.
And speaking of overpriced, a PC configured with the same specs as a Mac will actually cost MORE than the Mac. And that's not even counting the cost of the OS. Windows 7 costs much, much more than Snow Leopard.
