Online | My dad's thinking about getting me a netbook for christmas. He told me. I swear. But, the thing is, I have no clue what a netbook is. And does Dell have one available?! Because i really only like using Dell. I'm not a Mac person. And how big are the video processers usually? I'm a techy, but I don;t know that much. And how much do they cost?? [: | |||||

| A netbook is exactly what the name says it is: a small laptop, usually the size of a book, that you can use to get on the internet. It can do other functions, but due to its small processor and 1-2 GB of RAM, it can't do as much as a normal laptop or a PC. Yes, Dell has one. Dell Mini Netbooks: Colorful, Small, Light Weight If you're looking for something with a good video processor, DO NOT GET A NETBOOK. Netbooks, due to their size, don't have a very good video card in them. Also, like I said before, their tiny processor (the Pentium Atom or the AMD equivalent) and the lack of RAM means that they're usually only good for doing one thing at once, like only surfing the web, then closing the webpage and opening up a spreadsheet, editing that, then closing that and opening up a word document, etc. Don't get me wrong. Netbooks are a great new piece of technology. However, if you're looking for anything with a decent video processor, like you said, these are not for you. ![]()
