Elladan and Elrohir


Elladan

Warrior son of Elrond and Celebrain; he prefers to fight with a bow. You would not want to make him angry when he has a bow in his hand and an arrow in his quiver, it may just be the last argument you ever provoke. He is highly protective of his family, his city, Middle Earth, and of course his younger brother Elrohir.

Elrohir

Unlike his brother, Elrohir fights with an Elven blade especially made for him by the finest smiths in Rivendell and it is said that same sword was blessed by his grandmother Galadriel to never falter in his hand, and thus far it has proven to be a true story. He is far less temperant than his elder brother and spends much of his free time in the company of Men (not like that...) learning of their culture and their history.

A mile ahead on the trail, give or take but few yards, two Elves paced out of the small woodland into the cold mountainous path ahead. Before they ventured on, one stopped unceremoniously, took to his knees, turned behind, and called to his companion.
"Brother, the caravan. Do you hear it?" The Elf bellowed handsomely in his native tongue.
From within the trees, an almost identical voice; if not slightly higher in pitch, called back, with an essence of haste and worry.
"Elladan, what do you see? Is it mother?!"
A rustling from afar and screams in both person's heads enlightened them and inclined them to glance towards eachother before jumping to their feet and running, jumping and swinging from tree to tree back through the woodland in the direction of screams that had yet to emerge from their destination...

It was peaceful in the darkness that engulfed and protected her from the outside world, but Lireal knew that she would have to rise if she ever expected to survive. "Just open your eyes..." she told herself, but her eyelids seemed to be weighted down by lead bricks. Finally managing to open them, she stared at the slowly setting sun, blinking slowly. Pain started to edge into her conscious mind and her eyes closed once more. "Just a few more minutes...then I'll get up..."

Twisting and turning in his discomfort, Eállandir knocked the door of the cart and as he fell out, the cart began moving and he tried to reach for Lireal's hand, but her hand was beyond his reach. The cart drove along the fairway, Eállandir was clinging to the door; which was swinging violently over each stone that stood between the wheels and the ground. He could see behind his dragging feet. A lady in white. Her face called out to him, and in his locked away soul, he knew that this woman would be left to the mercy of the Orcs, lest there be any mercy to be had, of which a chance was nil. He clung to the door as far as he could, letting go moments before it halted with two strange and yet familiar figures storming forth from ahead. Eállandir closed his eyes and surrendered to unconsciousness.

In an instant the darkness receded and light overtook her brain; slowly but surely Lireal's eyes opened to stare at the rising moon. Wheels...she heard wheels from afar. Scrambling to her feet she winced as she felt warm liquid begin to trickle down her abdomen. Without looking she knew that her wound had ripped open again. With shaky steps Lireal managed to stumble fowards, only half in consciousness. The wheel's had stopped, but she followed from whence they came in a desperate attempt to find some elf left behind. It appeared that those who could gathered the wounded and left before they suffered more casualties. Their primary job was to get the Queen back to her home safely. Lireal was not their concern; she was just a guide, one who knew the land as well as the animals that inhabited it. Groping blindly ahead of her, she stumbled into a clear area and saw a woman in white. Her heart skipped a beat as she realized in horror that the woman was her adopted mother and Queen. "They so easily leave their Queen behind?!" she thought, "no...they cannot know. They must believe her to still be with them...but, I cannot reach her...she is so far....and I am so....tired." Managing to take a few more shakey steps, Lireal collapsed to the ground again, whimpering as a rock struck her tender abdomen. "Celebrian...I must reach her.....must....save....."
With those thoughts, her eyes drooped and a dark haze surrounded her brain. Not conscious nor unconscious, she drifted through the land between....
