No. I think that it's to ensure that they have someone applying to be a moderator that's familiar with the site.

Most normal people it would take a while to accumulate that many posts. That gives you time to familiarize yourself with how the site works. Especially when it comes to the message board it gives you an idea of where you'd work as a mod.

I think there should be a requirement like maybe you should be on here for "X" amount of months before you can apply. Because any schlub can get on here and go to SL or OB and accumlulate 1000 posts within a month easy.

Well, my girlfriend want's to be a mod. I'd be a horrible Mod, i don't have any warnings, i don't think, yet, but I blow up at people alot XD

Anyways, if you REALLY want to be a mod, then hell yeah i think you should get your 1000 posts, reccomendations, and all of that.
