Default What is college like?

My college years have been the best of my life so far.
But I can't say what college is for everyone, I can only say what it was for me.

I firmly believe that college is what you make of it.
If you want to learn, it's an amazing learning experience. If you're willing to work hard, they're the most satisfying years of your life. If you want to make lasting relationships and valuable contacts, you can't find a better place to do it.

Through clubs and honors societies, I've made some of the closest friends I've ever had. Two of whom will be my bridesmaids (*if he ever asks* ). I had all kinds of fun, meaningful, and valuable opportunities like volunteering at the Humane Society (with a charity group), & getting an extremely useful internship which really showed me what it's like working in my chosen field. I also had the opportunity to do original research which may have a small (but hopefully meaningful) impact on the public regarding breast cancer.

College isn't for everyone. But every single person I've known that had the desire, ambition, and attitude gained a lot from their college years - well beyond what they teach in books.

I hope you choose to go to college, and I hope it's right for you.
Good luck. ^_^

To be completely honest college is the most fun time of your life. Its all about being on your own and making the right decisions (i didn't say GOOD decisions just the right ones for you) if you want a way to kinda start preparing yourself for college then start dictating to your self when you go to bed and wake up tell your parents that its helping you prepare and it will also show you when you need to arrange you schedule in college for. And ps small colleges are way better than big ones. At big schools you tend to get lost , what i mean is you are assigned a number and never thought of again. The small class sizez and professors that actually care are a huge boost

College in Canada.

College is awesome! It is a lot of fun and a lot of hardwork. The only difference this time around is that you are studying what you enjoy (hopefully)

College is AMAZING.

I've learned so much, which is always important to me--I've always loved learning more, no matter what subject. :D

Also, I'm finally on my way to doing what I want to do: become a choir director, and the music classes have gotten me a very nice GPA.

In college, you get a chance to meet more people interested in what you're interested in and there's much more personal freedom. If you're not so good governing yourself, try staying at home and go to a community college for a year or two. Going to a CC is also a great way to get your basics out of the way. If you believe you're ready for all that freedom, though, go for it!
