For college students:

1. Become acquainted with your professors. You never know when they'll give you a hint about the next exam or maybe even give you an honorary award.

2. Its not okay to party nor drink when you have an AM class. Its okay to party but not drink when you have a PM class.

3. Moral of the story: DO NOT DRINK ON A SCHOOL NIGHT.

4. Do your work the night its assigned and/or try to complete it at least 4-7 days before its due. That way you'll have time to look over it.

5. When creating your class schedule, leave some space between classes for a small break or to eat. The same goes for when studying. Snacks are a must.

6. If you dislike studying alone or get too bored, try gathering up a few of your classmates in that same class and create a study group.

7. If you like studying alone, do it in your school library. Its complete zen in there.

8. If you like to study alone in your room, try putting on some music at a lo volume.

9. Every school has tutors or a help center for a particular subject. Don't be afraid to ask for help. And best of all? Its completely free of charge!

10. You can always come to the MeezU forum and ask for help. ;D

And these are usually the top ten reasons why people end their procrastination.

4. Finally have some fun, invite some friends over for a study group type thing or invite your bf/gf for a study date
Yeah... That never worked out well for me...

I noticed a lot of people said to basically do it in complete silence.
I think it depends on the person. I can only get my work done if there's music playing or at least if the T.V. Is on just low enough to hear undistinguishable sounds. Silence for me always meant that if I were to hear some sort of feint sound then I'd be completely distracted and be compelled to figure out what it was. I need a constant that can drown out any possible distractions.
This kinda applies to some sleeping habits also.

No problemo. ;D

@nico - Wow, I honestly thought everyone knew that studying alone with a boy-/girlfriend is a BAD idea. Especially when you're in college. Studying alone with anyone should be forbidden. Things happen, LOL.

In actuality, I never studied in my life. Studying always ended up being counter productive for me. Somehow I'd do worse after studying...
My tips were on how to do homework.
