Hey Meezers! We've got a new Writing & Poster Contest for ya.

The topic is: Your Summer.

Here are the rules:

1. Write about your summer. You can either tell the truth, or if your summer hasn't been that exciting, then make it up! Tell us an exciting summer story! Remember that grammar and spelling are important, so proof-read before you post.

2. Post your entry as a reply to this thread.

3. Create at least one Meez poster to illustrate your story. Make sure it includes at least one Meez avatar, and make sure it relates to your story. You can include as many posters as you want, but remember that your writing is just as important, so one good poster will be plenty.

4. Make sure all of your writing and poster(s) are your own creation. Stealing anything that you didn't write or create is illegal. If you do it, you will be disqualified, and you'll receive an infraction too. So be original!

5. All entries are due on Monday, August 24th, 2009.

6. You can only submit one entry, so make sure it's awesome!

My summer was the most unexpected summer i have ever had. Like most people mines was spent around water, i love to swim so i went to the beach and all the water parks and theme parks that Orlando has to offer. I spent lots of time playing with my brothers and hanging out with my friends too. I had the best time with my little brother when i took him to the mall to get ready for his first day of high school which i look forward to. I thought that my summer was going great until something bad happened to me, most people wouldn't say this but I'm the type of person who likes to get things off my chest. On July 21, 2009 10:00 pm my mother sent me to the store to get her some things because well...she was a little wasted. So i asked my friend Jumis if he wanted to go with me. So as we walked and created conversation with one another we heard the sound of tiers screeching. We ignored the sound and continued walking, but that was our first mistake. Next thing you know we hear shooting and a car coming from up behind. I was shot in the stomach and i lost a lot of blood. The only people who ever cam to see me was my friend Jumis and my best friend Kimberly, not even my Mother who sent me to the store came. You would think that this was a bad summer but it wasn't. When i was finally able to go home my best friend Kimberly always came over to take are of me and see if i was ok. I was bored at a point in time all i did was watch t.v and of coarse Spend time on MEEZ I was really sad and didn't feel like leaving my couch but i eventually got over it. Getting shot did not stop me from having a good summer it brought me closer to my friends and siblings and just made me want to get up and get myself together, and work on my poetry and drawings! This was the best summer ever and i will NEVER EVER FORGET IT!
