|  Weekly Meezer Creativity Contest - Halloween, A Global Event Hiya Meezers! Did you know that our traditional celebration of Halloween is based off of the Celtic festival of Samhein? I find it very interesting that many cultures celebrate at this time of the year, and for some cultures, it is their most treasured holiday! One of the fall celebrations I enjoy the most is El Dia de los Muertos, or in English: The Day of the Dead! Dia de los Muertos is celebrated not on the 31st of October, but on the first and second of November which corresponds with All Saints and All Souls day. The festival also has ancient roots in festivals celebrating the Aztec goddess Mictecacihuatl, who legend says watches over the bones of the dead. In Mexico, families build alters with candles, flowers, and pictures of loved ones who have passed. They often travel to the cemetery and decorate the graves of loved ones as well. For this contest, I would like for you to make a poster depicting how other cultures celebrate at the end of fall. You can design your own calaveras de azúca (Sugar skull), take your Meez to a Samhein bonfire, or visit the grave of a loved one on All Souls day. No gore, profanity, gang related materiel, or suggestive material. ~ Submitting stolen artwork will result in an infraction! ~ You can only win one weekly contest per month! The winner will receive 2,000 coinz OR 5 days free of VIP. Your choice! Have fun and be creative!
