..What about single mothers?
I think single mothers are fine, as long as they are able to take care of their children properly.
My mother was a single mother.
I know my dad and love him dearly, but it's hard for him to "step up and take responsibility" because he lives in a completely different country.
That might be the case for everyone, but I nor my mother resent him for not being there.

Just because a woman is a single parent, doesn't mean the father of the child[ren] is a "deadbeat dad"

That is a case-to case basis, when a single parent takes the child custody, it does not always mean that the other parent is deadbeat. It would be unfair for the dad in your example, a woman could be a single mother because she chose to, or because the father could have died, or simply because things would turn out better if they wouldn't live under one roof.

I think most single mom's do just fine with the circumstances they are given. My mom was a single mom with no help from my dad and she's great. Now ironically I am a single mom (by choice). Although it does make things a little tougher. Sometimes it would be nice to have some help when you're exhausted.

And she got my little sister, shes the kid of my stepdad..she found out she was pregant while getting devorced frm him.
And my mom did a good job on me and she will on my sister too.

Well
when i see a single mother struggling for money without support then i want the dad to help
When i see that the mom is rich or doing fine then i don't really care if the dad helps or not

There is nothing wrong with a single mother unless she's working the corner every night or something. If she is stable enough to take care of her child, then I don't see what the big deal is. 'Single' is a relationship title, not a stereotype.
