If you really want to feel some anger...google 'push present' and see what comes back... Dozens of threads/websites etc... Suggesting gifts at around 9k each for a 'push present'... They go on to explain to husbands why he 'should' buy his wife a push present and the more expensive the better... As it is said, She gave up her size 0 jeans to give you an heir, you owe her a push present!
GAG ME!

Give a husband and heir? That's stupid, the woman is getting a child as well, once the child is born, it is about the child, not so much about the mother or the father. I say the only gift the father needs to give is shutting his mouth and staying out of the way in the delivery room.

That's the most sickening thing I've ever seen. Way to guilt people into buying your expensive stuff so that you can live the high life. Seriously, these people have no souls.

How about this headline? "The Push Present: Show Her You'd Impregnate Her All Over Again" . You know how else you can show her that you'd impregnate her all over again? IMPREGNATE HER ALL OVER AGAIN!!!! Geez

My husband got my a mother child pedent, and a ring with my daughters birth stone in it. He didn't have to, I never said anything to him. He really just wanted to tell me he loved me, and thank you. When my son was born he got me a ring with his birthstone. I have no problem with him doing that. I thought it was very sweet. Though if he did not do that I would have never thought anything of it.
I think its wrong to expect a gift, but I think it is VERY sweet for a husband to get you something.

I agree. You shouldn't expect anything in return. But if you're loved one offers a small gesture of his love I see nothing wrong in accepting it.

That's fine and wouldn't be considered a "push present"... They are talking about items that cost hundreds if not thousands of dollars being expected as payment for pumping out a kid....when women turn around and start basically demanding things like this it is selfish... "Honey I just dumped out your 9lb. Kid, where in the hell is my $2000 diamond tennis bracelet you owe me?"...Big difference from an actual "lover's gift". He got that because he appreciates you not because you "asked for payment".
