What are these 'levels'?
Your level is a measurement of how much you contribute to the forums.
It goes up when you post, and do various other things.
Meezers with higher levels get special rewards, like bold names, custom titles, the ability to have a signature, access to secret forums, and more.

How do I find out my level?
Your level will usually show up your posts.

How do I increase my level?
You may level up when:

• You post
• You create threads (especially popular threads)
• You support other peoples' posts
• Other people support your posts

Is it possible to level down? To lose levels?
Yes! Anyone who breaks the Forum Rulz may lose one or more levels.

Why isn't my level updating?
Your level information is updated once per day.
You must have posted in the last hour, or the update won't happen.

What does the 'Level up' percentage mean?
This measures how close you are to the next level.
Say you were level 4. As you participate in the forums, your 'Level up' meter will go up.
Once it gets to 100%, your level will increase to 5 and your level up meter will go back to 0%.

What does the 'Activity' percentage mean?
It measures how much you have been posting on the forums over the last five days.
The higher the percentage, the more you have posted.

What do you get at each level?
Every 5 levels, you get a new title, and some new abilities.

• Level 1+: Forum Newbie: you can post, start threads, send PMs, and use email features
• Level 5+: Forum Junior: you can create a short, plaintext signature (no links, colors, or different fonts / font sizes)
• Level 10+: Forum Senior: you can have a longer signature
• Level 15+: Forum Master: you can use links, colors, lists, different fonts & font sizes in your signature
• Level 20+: Forum Maniac
• Level 25+: Forum Star: your name appears in italics
• Level 30+: Forum SuperStar: you can use images in their signature
• Level 35+: Forum MegaStar: you can use thread ratings, and your name appears in bold
• Level 40+: Custom Title: you can use custom titles
• Level 45+: Custom Title: you can have a longer signature (more markup), and your name appears in bold italics
  
• Level 50+: Custom Title: you can have an even longer signature (more lines)

Why is my signature messed up?
If you had a level between 9 and 15, you can't change the color, font size, or other formatting of your signature.
That ability is reserved for people at level 15+.

Why are you changing it?
Previously, access to these features was based on post count.
This was unreliable, because it encouraged people to spam.
The new system discourages this, because spammers can find their level goes *down*.
It also discourages spam because it factors in what other people think of your posts.
If your posts are few, but tend to get a lot of support, you might find yourself with a higher level than someone who creates many posts of lesser quality.
