Hey there, Meezers!

Moderators are Meezers who help things run more smoothly, keeping Meez a fun, welcoming, and safe place for all to enjoy. Read on to find out about what they do, and how to apply!

If you are a super Meezer and want to have a rockin' good time keeping Meez a "Meezy & Pleazy" place to hang for you and all your friends, you should apply to be one TODAY!

Moderators:

Moderators can be identified by their blue names. Their primary responsibility is *filing abuse reports* whenever they see rules being broken. They are required to report anyone they see breaking the rules (even their friends!) and must send a certain number of valid reports per month in order to maintain their moderator status. These reports are sent to the Administrators, who review them and take appropriate action, such as banning users who break the Rulz.

They may also answer other Meezers' technical questions, or show new users around, but they are not required to do these things.

Moderators can come in someone is breaking the rules, by kicking rule-breakers out of Meez Nation Roomz, or by deleting inappropriate forum posts/threads. They can only do these things when someone is breaking the Rulz. They cannot use their abilities for personal reasons, and they are not allowed to break any Rulz themselves. When they do use their mod abilities, they have to file an abuse report as well.

Moderators don't have the ability to give out Coinz or VIP status, nor do they usually get VIP status for free. They do, however, get some Coinz as a gift on their birthday each year, and top-performing mods may be given VIP status as a reward for their efforts.

Moderators have to follow all the normal Meez Rulz, plus some special moderator rules which prohibit them doing certain things, like kicking people for no reason, or sharing any of the moderator-only information they're allowed to see.

The requirements for applying being a moderator are:

1. You understand the above.
2. You have been using Meez for at least 3 months.
3. You must have filed at least 25 valid abuse reports. A valid report is one where you report someone for something that is against the Rulz, and where the Chat Logs included with the report clearly show them breaking the Rulz. Only reports which meet both of these requirements will count towards the total required to apply for modship.
   
4. You have been following the Rulz for awhile. If you have ever got an infraction or ban, you are not eligible to apply for modship.

Note that applying does NOT guarantee acceptance. It only means that your application will be reviewed by an administrator.

Be patient. You will eventually get a PM indicating whether your application was accepted or not.
