You oversmudged it;o. You should have added strands of hair to cover it up especially the spots where the hair is growing out of thin air.

To do strands of hair...get your color picker tool and "grab" the darkest color. After that, get a small/medium brush and start doing lines (they dont necessarily have to be straight) on the hair. Then get a lighter color and do the same. Do another lighter color and do the same (again). (On my example down there, i smudged it afterwards but you dont really have to you could just leave it as is) ... hard to explain but i tried :/ it should somewhat look realistic..like this:
