Well... Our family tradition begins with the Christmas tree. We always buy it the day after Thanksgiving. During the holidays we attend many parties where we enjoy yummy delicious spanish food of all kinds! We usually have some yummy roasted pork (pernil), spanish rice (arroz con gandules), potatoe salad, sweet honey baked ham with pineapples, stuffing, and lots more... Oh and can't forget all those mouth watering sweets!!!!! Man now I am hungry! HAHAHA.

Our visit there was during the holidays. We had Christmas, New Years, and fiesta to celebrate. So much fun! I was to scared to hold the fireworks that my cousins were playing with! The whole "don't play with fire" rule just goes out the window there! =)
People here really enjoy getting their fingers burned every New Year.

For Thanksgiving we get a turkey breast roast. There is only 3 of us so it's enough with minimal leftovers. My mom makes a bunch of sides. Including a homemade pumpkin pie. I like to watch the parade and the dog show. My dad watches football. I also like to eat funyuns because Chandler from Friends would eat that.

For Christmas my family usually stays home on Christmas day we open presents in the morning. My dad watches the Laker game. We don't buy a tree we have a fake one we keep in the garage. It's better because real trees bother my dad's allergies. But sometimes I do miss the smell of a real tree.

For New Years Day I watch the Rose Parade. Prefer the local commentary over the national one. Then we go to my uncle's house for menudo. I never eat it, but he usually has tamales or something else. Or I eat all the baked good he has there like cakes, cookies and breads. My dad watches bowl games all day.

I spend Christams at home with my family. Thats the one thing i love the best just been at home with my husband and kids. Even the computer goes off for a few days which is rare in our house. Usually somewhere between christmas and new year we all go to my parents house for the day.
