BJJ? Im not familiar with that term. Yeah i know what you mean girls tend to shy from fighting this way mostly because you get all sweaty and nasty not the good way either.i'm a trainer so when i sparr with anyone i make them shower first, i refuse to get ringworm or any thing like that. But sometimes you can't help getting mangled up this weekend i got kicked in the ear and my eardrum popped. The guy i was training with was supposed to be throwin head shots(that's what i was working with him on) but i guess his leg got lazy and connected with my ear which would have been just my rib if i hadn't rolled like we were practicing.

Yeah jiu jitsu is a little rough for most. The funny thing is the styles mention (pentjak silat,muay thai,boxing and jiujitsu) are like rock,paper scissors. Pentjak beats muay thai and jiujitsu. Muaythai beats boxing. Boxing beats jiujitsu,pentjak,and muay thai to some extent(ground work sucks) jiu jitsu beats muay thai and boxing when they work them to the ground. However pentjak has advantage simply for the fact that it is consider a lost art, so most do study how to defend it. Not saying this is how the outcomes alway come out but semipredictable if the fighters are equally talented.
