That video is f*cking amazing. Three guesses where Manson got his inspiration from.

But let's link the uncensored version, too =P

I used to love them. They'd probably still be my favorite band if it wasn't for their new album. I'm sorry, but they left any talent they had behind in their new album. They were so unique and they had such amazing lyrics. Now they sound like any other screamo/metalish/rock band. They just aren't original. They can do whatever they want, but i just dispise what they're doing. /:

which is sorta weird to say considering when i made this account i loved them so much i stole one of their songs to use as a username (zomboid).

So because they have ONE album you don't like, the entire library of music they created before it is suddenly crap?

That's ridiculous.

of course not... I still love their old music. I just said that. /: but after their newest album i just lost so much respect for them that other bands who still were amazing in my eyes "replaced" them after a while. I still listen to their old stuff, but i can't say i love them as a band as much as i used to. It's hard.

In my opinion, one album is not enough material to lose respect for a band who has produced so much good music. If they started making album after album of that same crap, then yes... It would be a reasonable reaction.

Just sayin'...

i think it's because i loved them so much and they changed so suddenly. To me, their lyrical and style changes was just as dramatic as a metal band turning pop. Sure, it wasn't really, but it felt it at the time. Just, to me, they aren't as unique as they used to be.

on top of that, i remember a fan talking to me one time, and they said that dir en grey was taking a more "western" approach to music because of getting booed off the stage so many times during Family Values. Which was also surprising to me because i thought they always went their own way in music.

trust me, if they went back to their old ways, i'd love them again. But i seriously doubt that will happen, with all the popularity they're getting with their new approach to music.

but of course, just other bands coming before them after a while also contributes to why i don't like them as much.

Dir en grey is the best band I have ever heard. My favourite song is "Fukai".
On their official site is sample of their new song - Glass Skin. I can't wait XD

YouTube - Dir en Grey - Obscure -uncencored-
Quick question: You think Marilyn Manson got HIS inspiration from a band that was formed 3 years after his bands debut album?

How does that work?
