Default Melodic Death Metal

I never (nor have I when I was two accounts ago in the past) see a thread talking about the best acts of Melodic Death. This is good stuff, people, better than the majority of Black Metal out there (my ears can't take so much satan everyday).

Empyrean Eclipse
Zonaria
Kalmah
Skyfire
Nightrage
Scar Symmetry
Mors Principium Est
Soilwork
Norther
Amon Amarth
Dark Tranquility
Archeon
Cadacross
Disarmonia Mundi
Behind The Scenery
Naildown
Universum
Eternal Tears of Sorrow
Threat Signal
Satariel
Blinded Colony
Fragments of Unbecoming

Im not really familliar with most of that list... Except for Soilwork and Amon Amarth... Archeron, Dark tranquility, Disamoria Mundi, and Threat Signal I've heard of but not heard. I may have to look into a lot off this list.

Here's some I dig:

After The Burial
Amon Amarth
Arsis ... Their latest "We Are The Nightmare" is one of my fav metal albums of 2008
Between The Buried And Me
Cynic .. Traced In Air is awesome
Necrophagist
Neuraxis
Nile.. One of my personal fav metal acts
Opeth

There's more Death acts than this I'm into, but these are what I'd consider the Melodic Death in my collection

I'm not certain that BTBAM is Melodeath. Awesome stuff, but i'm not sure if they are.

Arsis, ATB, Opeth, and Nile (except for nile's recent) are good stuff.

Honestly, I never got into ATG, though I was younger and only heard like 3 songs.

I like the music, the vocalist needs to chill out in the vid though.
