In the Philippines, there are two rival giant TV networks constantly fighting over their show ratings. It's very much unlike the cable, the majority of the Filipinos still prefer watching these two local stations. Everything the other station and its stars do, the other station would try to outdo it. Thus came the monicker: Kapamilya for ABS-CBN network fans and Kapuso for GMA network fans (like me, LOL).

Anyway, it has been generalized that once people here become a fan of the shows of one channel, thus they dislike the shows of the rival channel. However, this is just a glimpse of the Filipino pop culture.
