So, when I posted this in Fantasy last night, I had a few, err, issues.
So I figure this is better off in OOC before actually being placed in Fantasy.
That way I can criticize and kick out whomever I wa-

This is my precious, (yes, LotR reference, guess I'm an even bigger nerd now), and I will not tolerate anyone using it. I'm planning on turning this into a story, in one way or another. I'll find away. My stubborn mind always does. XD

In this world, (it's another dimension of Earth), everyone has a ong. That song defines who they are, the way they think, and how they act. The parent's songs do not affect their children's songs, although a child will tend to be similar to their parent.

A song is more than just music. It is another being that never leaves your side and guides you through life. The being does not have a mind of its own, and is ghost-like. Ghost-like meaning that they're transparent, have no weight, kind of float, have no physical mass. They can speak mentally to their 'owner' (whomever they were 'born' with), but not to anyone else. The being grows with its owner, and dies with it. Each Song is unique, and not duplicated while still alive.
Songs tend to be the opposite gender of their owner, for some reason or another. Sometimes they're the same gender, though.

**As far as husbands or wives or girlfriends or boyfriends or whatever go, you usually find that person early on in life. Sometimes, a quiet person and a loud person will feel a connection. You never know.

This planet, which the people know as 'Zalor', is split into two halves; the dark and the light. This is because of not only the lack of their ability to get along, but also because Zalor does not rotate.
The dark side, called 'Darkos Zalor', is home to the dark songs, violent songs, and just utterly unmusical songs.
The light side, called 'Luminos Zalor', is home to the bright songs, peppy songs, and dance songs.
On the edges where the light and dark meet are where trading markets and apartments are. The apartments are for families or couples from both sides. This is known as Edge Zalor, for lack of a better name.
In the North, where the light is dim but not quite light or dark, is where the peaceful songs, classical songs, and sometimes lullabies reside. They are the overall rulers, but no one ever sees them. ((In other words - not part of this RP since they're so anti-social. X"D))
